OVERALL 31-9 (8-3 District)
HEAD COACH: Randy Sandifer
Walker High School finished 2nd overall in Class 5A – District 4 and earned the #6 overall seed in the 5A State Playoff Bracket. After beating Destrehan (5-0), West Ouachita (2-1 series win), and New Iberia (2-0 series win), they eventually fell to #2 West Monroe by a score of 3-1 in the Class 5A State Semi-Finals in Sulphur. Look for Walker to come out of the gates in 2022 with a chip on their shoulder.
Key victories for the Wildcats in 2021:
- 11-9 victory over West Monroe on March 5
- 7-5 win over St. Amant on March 16
- District sweeps over Zachary, Central-BR, & Scotlandville
2022 PREVIEW
Walker HS returns some key players including top arm Caleb Webb. Leading the infield will be SS Landon Kish, and recent commits Chance Reed and Hunter Bethel. The 1-2 punch on the mound will consist of Caleb Webb and Chance Reed. Senior class and solid young talent looking to make an impact this year is key for WHS success. Season opener for Walker is slated for February 21st, and 2Dsports Louisiana looking forward to attend the April 7th Matchup vs. Live Oak HS.
